We see similar advice from Stephen R. Covey when he advised: “To retain those who are present, be loyal to those who are absent.”
In a world ripe with the criticism of others as a sport and the open criticism of self and failed comparison to others I say this: Hide and seek is a game not intended for self sabotage.
Our time is limited and divinely purposed for growth. Our mission of this mortal journey was not intended for the frivolities of pettiness and avoidance from the personal responsibility of growth and preparation for a grander purpose.
May we each seek, and find, opportunities to exercise more patience, to love deeper, and to exercise contribution to a grander outcome.
